Many of you are extremely skilled in the art of taking Halo 3 screenshots, and now it’s time to put that talent to the test! The most imaginative Forger will win their choice of either a Red vs. Blue: Reconstruction DVD or the DK Publishing Halo Encyclopedia. So what exactly do you have to do to get your hands on one of those Halo-rific prizes? Simply head into Forge mode, manipulate a crate to your liking, and snap a screenshot showing your creative use of that particular item. If you are intrigued by this challenge, hit the jump for the specifics and then turn into that little ball thingy to make something spectacular!
- Submit your entry by sending me your exact gamertag and the title of your screenshot (along with the text, “Most Creative Use of a Crate Contest”) via the contact form. The submitted gamertag must be the author of the screenshot and the entry must contain at least one crate, may not be altered in any way, and should be in your File Share to be eligible. Please remember to enter a valid email address as that is how the winner will be notified.
- Entries for the Most Creative Use of a Crate Contest will be accepted until Sunday, April 25th at 11:59 pm PT. As always with my contests, there are no region restrictions.
- The top entries will be posted on Tuesday, April 27th for open voting (which will conclude on Friday, April 30th at 11:59 pm PT). The submission that receives the highest number of votes will be the winner. The winner will be notified on Saturday, May 1st and will have three days to choose and accept their prize. The winner may select one, but not both, of the following:

Hmm. This could be really interesting. I don’t know if I can come up with anything cool, but I’m sure there will be really creative entries that will blow my mind.
You can say that again.
Only one crate??
Minimum one. Maximum however many you can fit in the budget! I didn’t want to set too many limits as to not inhibit people’s creativity. :)
This should most certainly help the website bs Angel! Terrific idea!
<3
I’d love to do this but my Halo disc cracked :(
Aaawww, that sucks. Hopefully your ODST disc is in working order for the upcoming beta!
Just one question
I live in Mexico, the text above says “The winner will be notified on Saturday, May 1st and will have three days to choose and accept their prize”
How I can get the prize? I must pay for shipping it?
Nope, the winner doesn’t have to pay for shipping. The prize will be shipped automatically by the company that donated the items. :)
Thanks for the fast answer, I´ll do my best try!
ill give it a try
I have a question:
Does it have to be forge art of crates or just a screenshot with crates in it?
It just has to be a screenshot with at least one crate in it. You can take it in campaign, multiplayer, custom, or Forge. Completely up to you!
Hmm I’ll get right to work!
I can’t wait to see what the community comes up with!!
How are you going to narrow down the entries?
Very carefully. ;)
Oh really?
;)
This is awesome. I so want that RvB disk. lol Im in Angel. =]
ill enter but i dont want the prize. if i win can i give the prize to someone else?
If you won, the prize would be yours to do with as you choose. :)
sounds kinky…
I need my good type of internet that is compatible with xbox live now!
Would we need to provide our address to you or the people shipping the prizes?
You would need to provide me with a mailing address of some sort, yes. Work, home, whatever you’re comfortable with.
just clearing things up, the picture has to include a crate, not a barrier (like in the picture above)?
Yup! The subject this month is a crate (either of the two crate options are fine). That was just a generic Forge image I used. :)
alright, thanks. the barrier just got me a bit confused. =P
hmmm how to do it I know all I need is a crate
DK publishing FTW!
